How You Can Help

Food Bank

We want to do whatever we can to give practical help to those amongst us who are isolated. The ever tightening restrictions and the seriousness of the situation mean that it is best to look to existing organisations such as the Foodbank and Local Authority voluntary networks as they have established infrastructure. However, there is still much that we can do:

  • If you know of someone who is self-isolating, give them a phone call from time to time. It is really important that we keep in touch with each other.
  • If you have time and energy to offer and are able to leave the house, then do look at Lewisham Local where voluntary organisations have details of their needs:
  • If you wish to donate goods to the foodbank, they can be left at the vicarage, (4 Westwood Hill, behind the bus stop) by the front door. We have made arrangements to have any goods delivered to the Foodbank at Forest Hill.

COVID Symptom Tracker

This app has been launched to help researchers slow the spread of COVID 19 and identifying at risk cases sooner by daily self-reporting, even if you are well. This activity takes less than a minute and will help scientists advance vital research on this virus. This tool has been designed by medics and scientists at Kings College London and Guys and St. Thomas' Hospital. These facilities are within our diocese and it would be great to support this initiative, not because its homegrown but because it will save lives. Click Here to find out more.
